16 November 2012 ORATEX® 6000 shoot-out-test
The company Junkers Profly GmbH subjected our covering fabric Oratex 6000 with a shoot-out-test.
The test was positive and allows the following conclusion: using the rescue-system „Magnum 450“ by Junkers GmbH, the complete shoot out area can be covered with the fabric Oratex 6000 without perforation and particular precautions being made.
The burst pressure of ORATEX 6000 amounts to approx. 700 kPa (DIN EN ISO 13938-2).
The burst pressure of ORATEX UL 600 amounts to approx. 420 kPa (DIN EN ISO 13938-2).
Considering these 2 values, the result of the shooting-out resistance of ORATEX 6000 can be applied to ORATEX UL 600 as well.
Please pay attention that there are no sharp edges at the complete shoot out area,
as otherwise the emergency parachute can be damaged.

Video about the official and by customs supervised destruction of confiscated wings and tail planes. These products were covered with an iron-on film originating in China, which infringes the Oracover patent.

30 July 2012 OSHKOSH 2012 AIR VENTURE - THE WORLD'S GREATEST AVIATION FESTIVAL
On July 27th 2012 the jury chose the winner in the category: BEST ULTRALIGHT.
And the winner is Mr John Steere with his own design BODACIOUS. The whole aircraft is covered with the German made aircraft fabric ORATEX UL 600, which is the world's one and only lightweight Finished Aircraft Fabric, that does not need to be painted, as it comes airworthy off the roll as an already finished product. The BODACIOUS is equipped with foldable wings and a foldable tailplane. We congratulate Mr Steere on his well-deserved success and wish him always "Blue Skies".
26 July 2012 A new world record was set by the “Teich Figther” with the help of Oracover
This was a day of superlatives: 150,000 spectators, consistently 30 degrees, an atmosphere similar to that of the carnival and the day culminates in a world record. Passing 69.79 meters during the “Red Bull Flying Day”, the team “Die Rückkehr der Teichfigthers” from Wiesbaden flew as far as nobody before. Their aerodynamic flying machine beat the previous record of 63.09 meters by almost 7 meters! (Source: www.red-bull.de)
